The Hong Kong, China Delegation is ready for the Tianjin 6th East Asian Games
Led by Mr. Timothy T.T. FOK, GBS, JP, President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (the Federation), Mr. PANG Chung, SBS, BBS, Hon. Secretary General of the Federation, Mr. Kenneth K.K. FOK, Chef de Mission of the Hong Kong, China Delegation to the 6th East Asian Games (EAG), the core group of Delegation members departed to Tianjin for the 6th EAG today (4 October 2013) by taking Air China.
This is the last international multi-sports games that Hong Kong would participate in 2013. Hong Kong recently attained outstanding results at the Incheon 4th Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games and Nanjing 2nd Asian Youth Games, the Federation wishes that the Delegation would perform their best and achieve remarkable results again at the 6th EAG.
The 6th EAG will be held from 6 to 15 October 2013 in Tianjin, China. The Hong Kong, China Delegation consists of 304 athletes participating in 23 sports events, namely Aquatics (Swimming/Diving), Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cycling, DanceSport, Dragon Boat, Fencing, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Karatedo, Shooting, Squash, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wushu.
The Federation had set up a webpage for the 6th EAG to introduce the Games and Hong Kong, China Delegation. During the period of the Games, the most updated competition results of the Hong Kong, China Delegation will be uploaded onto the webpage. Lastly, the Federation would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation again to the Home Affairs Bureau, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department for their staunch support, FILA Marketing (Hong Kong) Limited for providing the official sports uniform, Kent & Curwen for providing the official formal uniform, Air China in sponsoring the air tickets to Tianjin.
